Stroke Symptoms

Our Experts

Earning certification as a Comprehensive Stroke Center requires being able to treat the most complex cases 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This means we have a team of vascular neurologists, neurointerventional radiologists and cerebrovascular neurosurgeons ready to collaborate with the Emergency Department the moment a patient arrives.

Stroke Treatments & Capabilities

UM Health-West has demonstrated excellence in every stage of stroke care, across multiple departments and disciplines. Starting from the 911 call and continuing through the Emergency Department, security, imaging, nursing, pharmacy, neurology, aftercare, rehabilitation, patient education and support groups.

Stroke Support Programs & Services

Our commitment to stroke care extends beyond the initial treatment and beyond the walls of the hospital. We are experts at helping patients not only survive but thrive. This includes support for the patient as well as their loved ones. We also work with community partners to advance understanding about stroke prevention and how to recognize the symptoms.
