Visitor Policy

UM Health-West is asking all patients and visitors to wear a mask or face covering for in person appointments and visitations. Please bring your own mask or face covering with you to your appointment and visitations.

Hospital visiting hours are 8am-8pm. All patients and visitors are required to be screened at our entrances.

Per the CDC, all visitors are required to wear a mask covering their face and nose regardless of vaccination status. COVID-19 positive visitors are not permitted.

Our current visitor guidelines are as follows:

  • Inpatient Floors – No restriction to the age or number of visitors. Visitors under the age of 16 should be supervised at all times by an adult other than the patient.
  • Emergency Department and Urgent Care – Two visitors per patient are allowed and may rotate. Visitors under the age of 16 will be allowed in limited circumstances.
  • Childbirth Center – No restrictions to the age or number of visitors. Visitors under the age of 16 should be supervised at all times by an adult other than the patient. Exceptions to the visiting hours for visitors under the age of 16 will be managed on a case by case basis.
  • Surgical/Procedural – Two adult visitors for surgical and procedural patients requiring sedation may rotate.
