For the third year in a row, University of Michigan Health-West has received national recognition as one of the country’s Best and Brightest Companies to Work For.
The Spring 2022 designation by the National Association for Business Resources was the sixth time UM Health-West has earned the recognition since 2014. The 139 national winners were chosen from among 1,100 nominations, with an independent research firm reviewing them in categories such as communication, work-life balance, employee education, diversity, recognition, retention and more.
“This recognition belongs to our team members across West Michigan,” said Dr. Peter Hahn, President and CEO of UM Health-West. “They themselves are the ‘best and brightest,’ and their outstanding work is what sustains the culture that has defined us for 80 years.”
UM Health-West was the only Grand Rapids-area health system named to the national list, as well as the 2022 list of Best and Brightest Companies to Work For in West Michigan, a honor it has received 11 times since 2011.
NABR officials said the Best and Brightest program celebrates companies that are improving business, creating richer lives and building stronger communities.
