To do business with UM Health-West, we require all businesses to register using our online Vendor and Supplier Information Form, which includes a Supplier Diversity Section. We will review your registration and contact you in 5-7 business days for any needed additional information. If your registration is approved, you will have access to the Metro Health Vendor Self-Service Portal where you can learn of requests for proposals and quotes. When working with Metro Health, we encourage all contractors to use diverse suppliers and require them to report to us their amount of spend with diverse suppliers. Preference will be given to vendors and suppliers that have a written and demonstrated DEI commitment.
To qualify as a diverse supplier, the business must be 51% or more owned, controlled, and operated by:
- Ethnic/Racial minorities
- LGBTQ+ individuals
- Persons with disabilities
- Person who are socially and economically disadvantaged
- U.S. Military Veterans
- Women
Vendor and supplier registration do not guarantee business with University of Michigan Health-West, nor does it confer on your company the status of a University of Michigan Health-West vendor. The actual contract awards are a competitive process and will be subject to separate terms and conditions to be negotiated based upon the transaction(s) and the needs of the department making the purchase.
Businesses that submit a registration form will be asked for references and certifications, if applicable. Upon confirmation of information, vendors and suppliers will be considered for opportunities with University of Michigan Health-West.
