Metro Health – University of Michigan Health announces Lori Price RN, MSA, FACHE as their new Chief Operating Officer.
Price joins Metro Health after most recently serving as president of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital in Illinois, part of the Loyola University Hospital System and Trinity Health, where she also served as regional chief nursing officer and regional executive of support service and quality.
“Price stood out among nearly 300 applicants from 40 states by her extensive accomplishments and passion for patients,” said Connie Bohatch, member of the Metro Health Hospital Board of Directors. “She has consistently demonstrated a talent for execution and a strategic approach to bringing excellent care to patients.”
Price has extensive experience in both clinical care as an accomplished nurse and extensive experience having served in senior executive roles. “Whether you’re a bedside nurse delivering direct patient care or an administrator working on systems and processes, your focus is on one thing: the patient,” Price said. “That spirit of everyone working together on behalf of the patient is what drew me to Metro Health.”

Price’s nursing career began at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Indiana, where she progressed into leadership roles as director of oncology, vice president and chief nursing officer. She became the system’s chief operating officer before being named president of its Plymouth, Indiana, campus. She also assumed the executive leadership position for their physician network.
In 2013, she was named president of Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, a 255-bed acute-care hospital in Melrose Park, Illinois, and she later added a role as chief nursing officer for the Trinity Health Illinois Region, encompassing four hospitals and more than 1,000 beds.
Price earned undergraduate degrees at Memorial School of Nursing, South Bend, Indiana, and the College of Saint Francis, Illinois. She earned a master’s degree in administration from the University of Notre Dame. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and has earned numerous awards and accolades, including being named an “Up and Comer” by Modern Healthcare magazine.
