Instructions
Drink the medicine.
Take the medicine with 250 mL (1 cup) of water.
Take on empty stomach - 1 hour before or 2 hours after eating.
After taking other medicines, wait at least 2 hours before taking this medicine. Do not take any other medicines for 2 hours after this medicine.
You may take with food to prevent stomach upset.
Keep the medicine at room temperature. Avoid heat and direct light.
Drink plenty of water while on this medicine.
Avoid dairy products, coffee, tea or products containing caffeine within 2 hours before or after taking this medicine.
Do not take this medicine with antacids.
It may take several weeks for this medicine to fully work.
If you forget to take a dose on time, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, do not take the missed dose. Return to your normal schedule. Do not take 2 doses at one time.
Drug interactions can change how medicines work or increase risk for side effects. Tell your health care providers about all medicines taken. Include prescription and over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal medicines. Speak with your doctor or pharmacist before starting or stopping any medicine.

The foods you eat can change how well this medicine works. Tell your doctor about the types of food you normally eat. Ask your doctor for a list of foods that can affect this medicine. Do not significantly change the foods you normally eat while on this medicine.
This medicine may stain your teeth. Brush and floss your teeth regularly. Ask your dentist about cleaning to remove stains.
Drinking the medicine through a straw may reduce staining of the teeth.
It is very important that you follow your doctor's instructions for all blood tests.
This medicine may cause a positive result on some tests that check for blood in the stool. Please tell your doctor or nurse that you are taking this medicine before they perform these tests.
Cautions
Tell your doctor and pharmacist if you ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.
Do not use the medication any more than instructed.
Tell the doctor or pharmacist if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Do not share this medicine with anyone who has not been prescribed this medicine.
Side Effects

- constipation
- stomach upset or abdominal pain
- dark, tarry stool
