Kidney Personal Action Toward Health (Kidney-PATH) is an 8-week virtual workshop for participants who are in various stages of Chronic Kidney Disease. The first six weeks focus on overall healthy living, with two additional sessions that cover kidney specific content. This free course is brought to you by the National Kidney Foundation. Registration is required.
This workshop is for you if:
- You have kidney disease, kidney failure, or a kidney transplant
- You are a caregiver
- Manage everyday activities
- Control symptoms and decrease stress
- Improve communication skills
- Avoid complications

You’ll have the opportunity to discuss any concerns about labor and birth with the instructor and other expectant couples. High Blood Pressure (HBP) Control is a free 8-week virtual interactive workshop that will help you build skills and tools to manage your high blood pressure. The workshop is led by certified leaders and is brought to you by the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan. Participants will receive a free blood pressure monitor after joining. Parkinson's Disease is a progressive nervous disorder which can cause a variety of symptoms including difficulty with movement and communication. This support group offers education, support, and resources to patients with Parkinson's Disease, caregivers and other members of their support team.
Although caregivers/family members are welcome, we request a maximum of one per participant due to space limitations.

We offer online self-guided childbirth, newborn care, and breastfeeding classes. These classes are available in both English and Spanish. Each class costs $15.00 and is not covered by insurance. This option allows you to go through the class content on your own time, and you have access to the content for 90 days. The same book and educational videos that are used for our in-person classes are used for these online classes.

Parents will gain hands-on training and confidence with their baby’s car seat. The class is facilitated by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. The class provides information on properly securing baby in the car seat, correctly installing in your car, safety features of your car seat and your vehicle, common car seat errors and solutions, allowed add-on products and more.
Why a car seat safety class?
One of the most important responsibilities parents have is to keep their children safe. Part of that duty involves being mindful of child passenger safety. 90% of car seats are not used correctly which correlates with traffic crashes are a leading cause of death and injury in children. To protect against this tragedy, parents must have the proper information and resources they need to correctly buckle up their children in their car.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn what to do if your baby or child is choking or stops breathing. This life-saving course includes demonstration, hands-on practice, and discussion of CPR, choking rescue and first aid. Parents, grandparents, and anyone caring for your baby or child are highly encouraged to take this class!
NOTE: This class uses American Heart Association (AHA) resources, but this is NOT a certification class. The AHA uses the following guidelines: Infant is 1 year or less of age, Child is 1 year of age up until puberty. CPR is different for infants versus children.
