Basic Life Support (BLS) Course

The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. This class is designed for healthcare professionals and students going into a healthcare profession. This class is 3 hours long. Those who pass the written exam and skills tests will obtain the AHA BLS Provider course completion card which is valid for 2 years.

Breastfeeding Support Group

All moms and babies are welcome to come together to allow breastfeeding mothers to support each other through the sharing of their unique breastfeeding journeys and experiences while receiving support from a certified lactation consultant. This group is designed to help moms gain confidence in breastfeeding through friendship and encouragement. This group will meet on the 2nd floor in the Mike and Beverly Faas Classroom. Registration required.

Balance and Fall Risk Screening Clinic – Session One

Are you concerned about your balance or feel afraid of falling? This event will provide one on one balance screening from a multi-disciplinary team. Healthcare professionals from physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, among others will be available to review your fall risk factors and provide recommendations for improved balance and safety in your home and community.
