University of Michigan Health-West announced the addition of 12 physicians, enhancing its specialty care in in dermatology, mammography, oncology, otolaryngology, psychiatry and family medicine.
New UM Health-West specialty care providers include:
Wesley Bos, M.D. – Psychiatry
Dr. Wesley Bos completed his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch and his psychiatry residency at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids. He is board-eligible in psychiatry and has a special interest in adult outpatient psychiatric care.
Heidi Egloff, M.D. – Hematology/Oncology
Dr. Heidi Egloff earned her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and completed her hematology-oncology fellowship at the University of Michigan. Her clinical focus includes breast oncology, and she brings research experience in breast cancer therapy from the UM Health-Sparrow Herbert-Herman Cancer Center in Lansing.
Sharon Helmer, M.D. – Breast Imaging
Dr. Sharon Helmer, an assistant professor in radiology, specializes in breast imaging. She holds an M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her radiology residency at Oakwood Hospital in Dearborn, Mich. Dr. Helmer brings extensive experience as the former director of breast imaging at Karmanos Cancer Center.
Ben Himelhoch, M.D. – Breast Imaging
Dr. Ben Himelhoch holds a medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Colorado and a breast imaging fellowship at the University of Michigan. His professional interests include the delivery of patient-centered care in radiology and improving operational inefficiencies.
Javier Howard, M.D. – Otolaryngology (ENT)
Dr. Javier Howard earned his M.D. from the University of Cincinnati and completed his residency in otolaryngology at Stanford University. He has contributed to research on racial disparities in sleep apnea surgery and brings expertise in adult and pediatric ear, nose, and throat (ENT) care.
Mallory Joseph, M.D. – Dermatology
Dr. Mallory Joseph specializes in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology (Mohs surgery). She completed her dermatology residency and a fellowship at the University of Michigan after attending Wayne State University School of Medicine and Hope College. Dr. Joseph practices at the Grandville Health Center and has a special interest in skin cancer and procedural dermatology, while also practicing general and cosmetic dermatology.
Richelle Payea, M.D. – Psychiatry
Dr. Richelle Payea completed her medical degree at Central Michigan University College of Medicine and her psychiatry residency at Michigan State University. She has a particular interest in geriatric psychiatry and end-of-life care, having recently completed a fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services.
Andrew Schuler, M.D. – Dermatology
Dr. Andrew Schuler earned his M.D. from the University of Michigan, where he also completed his residency in dermatology and a fellowship in dermatopathology. He divides his time practicing general and cosmetic dermatology as well as dermatopathology at the Grandville Health Center.
Daniel Taylor, D.O. – Hematology/Oncology
Dr. Daniel Taylor holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Pacific Northwest University and completed his fellowship in hematology-oncology at Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc, Mich. He has a clinical interest in hematologic disorders and patient-centered cancer care.
Nicholas Van Maele, M.D. – Otolaryngology (ENT)
Dr. Nicholas Van Maele earned his medical degree from Central Michigan University College of Medicine and completed his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Kentucky. He specializes in head and neck surgery and brings experience in adult and pediatric ear, nose and throat (ENT) care.

Devin Schlossberg, D.O. – Family Medicine (Beltline Health Center)
Dr. Devin Schlossberg completed his medical degree from Michigan State University and family medicine residency at University of Michigan Health-West. He is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care, focusing on not just treating illness but empowering patients to achieve and maintain lifelong health and wellness. By emphasizing the importance of healthy diet, regular exercise, and preventative medicine, Dr. Schlossberg works collaboratively with his patients to develop personalized care plans that support their overall well-being and long-term vitality. He is board-certified in family medicine.
Tristan Worthington, D.O. – Family Medicine (Southwest Health Center)
Dr. Tristan Worthington earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Michigan State University and completed his residency in family medicine at University of Michigan Health-West. He is dedicated to preventive care and osteopathic manipulative treatment.
