University of Michigan Health-West is pleased to announce its recent reaccreditation through the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC) for hospital services, a rigorous process that entails a comprehensive evaluation of healthcare organizations’ adherence to stringent national standards.
The accreditation process involves an independent assessment conducted by ACHC, encompassing a thorough review of essential documents, evaluation of policies and practices, and interviews with key personnel, employees, and contracted individuals directly involved in patient care.
“Receiving accreditation from ACHC is a testament to our organization’s continuous pursuit of excellence and our dedication to providing the highest quality care to our patients,” said Stacie Bommersbach, Vice President of Quality & Patient Safety at UM Health-West. “This achievement is a result of the collective effort of our dedicated staff, who work to ensure our services consistently meet and exceed industry standards.”
UM Health-West’s recent renewal survey, which took place from June 6-9, 2023, was overseen by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, a respected nonprofit organization that has been a beacon of quality and excellence in healthcare since its establishment in 1986.
UM Health-West remains dedicated in its mission to relentlessly advancing health to serve West Michigan.
