Stop the Bleed/CRASE Community Training Course

University of Michigan Health-West is dedicated to the communities we serve. That is why we invite you to attend a free 2-hour training session combining Stop the Bleed Training and Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) courses. Stop the Bleed is a national initiative sponsored by the American College of Surgeons and has the goal of training millions of civilians to identify and stop life-threatening bleeding in the crucial minutes after an injury.  The CRASE course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny, Defend (ADD) Strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004, provides strategies, guidance and a proven plan for surviving an active shooter event. Topic will include the history and prevalence of active shooter events, civilian response options, medical issues and considerations when conducting drills. Wyoming Police Officers will provide a presentation and be available for questions. Registration is required for this event.
