We offer online self-guided childbirth, newborn care, and breastfeeding classes. These classes are available in both English and Spanish. Each class costs $15.00 and is not covered by insurance. This option allows you to go through the class content on your own time, and you have access to the content for 90 days. This class will help new parents feel more confident, comfortable and prepared for the first six weeks of baby’s life. It’s also ideal for parents who are adopting a newborn. You’ll enjoy the hands-on stations to practice real-life scenarios, as well as great discussion that includes practical tips. Topics include: newborn appearance, senses and brain development, understanding baby’s communication cues, why babies cry and how to comfort them, feeding your baby, diapering, bathing, sleeping, keeping baby healthy and safe, and more! We recommend that you take this class in addition to the Childbirth Class.
*This class is $35 and is directly billed to your insurance. Your insurance will not be billed until after you have completed this class series. Parents will gain hands-on training and confidence with their baby’s car seat. The class is facilitated by Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians. The class provides information on properly securing baby in the car seat, correctly installing in your car, safety features of your car seat and your vehicle, common car seat errors and solutions, allowed add-on products and more.
Why a car seat safety class?
One of the most important responsibilities parents have is to keep their children safe. Part of that duty involves being mindful of child passenger safety. 90% of car seats are not used correctly which correlates with traffic crashes are a leading cause of death and injury in children. To protect against this tragedy, parents must have the proper information and resources they need to correctly buckle up their children in their car.

One of the most important responsibilities parents have is to keep their children safe. Part of that duty involves being mindful of child passenger safety. 90% of car seats are not used correctly which correlates with traffic crashes are a leading cause of death and injury in children. To protect against this tragedy, parents must have the proper information and resources they need to correctly buckle up their children in their car.

All moms and babies are welcome to come together to allow breastfeeding mothers to support each other through the sharing of their unique breastfeeding journeys and experiences while receiving support from a certified lactation consultant. This group is designed to help moms gain confidence in breastfeeding through friendship and encouragement. This group will meet on the 2nd floor in the Mike and Beverly Faas Classroom. Registration required.
